Huntingtown High School PTSO Board

What is PTSO?

The mission of the PTSO is to make every student’s potential a reality. The PTSO (Parent
Teacher Student Organization) is an organization made up of parents, teachers, and students
who work together as a team to enrich and improve the educational environment and
experiences at Huntingtown High School. Our PTSO is independent from the National and State
PTAs, which means that 100% of dues and other funds raised are used for HHS PTSO programs.
The purpose of the PTSO is to help support programs such as:

Financial support for scholarships for seniors
Staff appreciation events
Family social events
Promoting and supporting extracurricular activities and clubs
Enhancing school communication through e-announcements and website information

What is the Purpose of the HHS PTSO?

To serve as a voice for all students
To be a relevant resource for families and communities
To serve as a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every student at Huntingtown High School
To serve as a type of forum where parents, teachers, administrators, and other concerned adults discuss ways to promote quality education, encourage community involvement, and provide scholarship opportunities for seniors

It is not necessary to come to PTSO meetings; just pay your membership fee and join! Your donations are what helps keep HHS PTSO going strong. For anyone who would like to attend, meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the HHS library.

Mission Statement

The HHS Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) is organized for the purpose of supporting the education and welfare of students at Huntingtown High School (HHS) by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers, and by promoting communication within the community, and supporting the general goals of the school.
